Discovery Foods

Discovery Foods, one of the leading Mexican food producers in the UK, has signed a two-year contract with IT Services and Solutions provider Maindec to deploy 24/7 maintenance support. The contract, covering sites in Daventry and Milton Keynes, provides Discovery Foods with a cost-effective, out-of-warranty support solution for its Dell Power Edge servers and Power Vault storage systems.

NHS Scotland

NHS Health Scotland, the special Health Board in Scotland with national responsibilities to reduce health inequalities and improve health, has signed a Managed Services contract with IT Services and Solutions provider Maindec. The contract will see Maindec partner with brightsolid Online Technology and Company Net to implement a hosted Microsoft platform in support of NHS Health Scotland's strategic business improvement programme. The private cloud-based hardware and software solution will provide the Board with a configurable platform based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Lync and Sharepoint which will be used to drive improvements in NHS Health Scotland's major information management and content management processes.

The contract sees Maindec provide hardware break/fix services, on behalf of PCMS, to a number of large name companies, including Unipart Automotives.

Ultima Partnership

IT Solutions company Ultima partnered with Maindec in 2009 to provide legacy IT systems support and business critical hardware maintenance to its customers. Over the past two years, Maindec has established itself as Ultima's preferred third party break/fix service provider, with the company servicing over 40% of Ultima's customers Intel server and storage estates. The ongoing partnership with Maindec enables Ultima to deliver an inherently flexible and reliable service to all of its customers regardless of the age or sophistication of the system.

The White Company

Maindec was originally approached to offer support and maintenance for The White Company’s server estate and critical printers located at the distribution centre. Marc Harper, Technical Service Delivery Manager, The White Company, comments, “At that point in time we only had 12 servers and if any of them failed in any way, we simply replaced it with a new device. We then undertook an entire upgrade of the whole estate, bringing the total number of servers to 40, and felt that we needed to get a partner on board to support with the installation and ongoing maintenance.”

Railcare, a specialist supplier of rolling stock solutions to the UK rail industry, has selected IT Services and Solutions provider Maindec for business-critical maintenance support across its IT servers in Wolverton Works Milton Keynes and its Springburn depot in Glasgow. The contract, which is valued at £10,000 per annum, makes Maindec responsible for ongoing support of 16 servers, including HP9000’s, HP Intel Servers and other HP tape and storage devices.
