The White Company
Maindec was originally approached to offer support and maintenance for The White Company’s server estate and critical printers located at the distribution centre. Marc Harper, Technical Service Delivery Manager, The White Company, comments, “At that point in time we only had 12 servers and if any of them failed in any way, we simply replaced it with a new device. We then undertook an entire upgrade of the whole estate, bringing the total number of servers to 40, and felt that we needed to get a partner on board to support with the installation and ongoing maintenance.”

Rail Care
Railcare, a specialist supplier of rolling stock solutions to the UK rail industry, has selected IT Services and Solutions provider Maindec for business-critical maintenance support across its IT servers in Wolverton Works Milton Keynes and its Springburn depot in Glasgow. The contract, which is valued at £10,000 per annum, makes Maindec responsible for ongoing support of 16 servers, including HP9000’s, HP Intel Servers and other HP tape and storage devices.

The company provides exploration, mining, processing and smelting across Africa, Europe, South and North America, Australia and Asia. Maindec have worked with Anglo American for 11 years, providing a range of IT support services to the Corporate London Head Office, together with remote services to the Luxembourg operations.
