Maindec has partnered with Symantec to provide cloud based email filtering services, that will check both inbound and outbound email for viruses, malware and spam. Symantec use several anti-virus engines to scan the email to provide a very high level of security. As spam and malware are being filtered out before delivery to an internal mail server, this also reduces the load on the internet data links.
In addition to email scanning, Symantec also offer business continuity services that allow email to be sent and received if a major failure has occurred that prevents use of a corporate mail server.
Symantec also provide realtime web filtering, that will prevent viruses and malware from being downloaded via infected websites.
For both of these services Symantec has a unified web portal that is easily used to configure the services and provide comprehensive reporting features.
