Weather Fine (though windy in the Chairman’s Group)
Well it certainly looked grand as we waited for the double electric gates to open. This was a new course for us that we had no information on, but by all reports was worth a visit. There was plenty of water to keep up the interest, and if that wasn’t enough, the light rough consisted mainly of clover (no fun for us wild high handicappers) and the rough beyond that was even more penal. That said, the course was well laid out, especially when so many new courses consist of walking up and down parallel fairways. It was said that the sign mentioning the drop zone on the 18th tee was not marked clearly enough, but only by those who hit their 2nd and even 3rd re-loads into the lake!
