Maindec Honoured at Procurement Awards
Maindec Computer Solutions Ltd has been honoured for outstanding achievement at this year's Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Scotland.
The organisation was crowned winners in the GO Best Service Award category at the recent GO Awards Scotland 2011-12 event.
This Award recognises the contribution that suppliers make in the delivery of public sector services in Scotland.

GO Managing Editor Grahame Steed stated: "The winner of this category was a rarity – a unanimous decision amongst the judging panel."

Steed went on to praise Maindec saying: "This was an entry that was hard to fault, and exemplified the value that a small business made up of dedicated professionals can deliver. In terms of customer service, it made a compelling case with 100% service delivery achieved every day for six years. That's a lot of days. "
He went on to say "In an industry where it's all too easy to be blinded by the technicalities, this entry demonstrated a pragmatic and transparent approach; embedding itself with the client to ensure a seamless delivery".
One of the judges remarked that it was hard to imagine a large, multi-national providing the attentive service that this organisation has – and the good news is that this approach has paid off for both the client and the winner of this category."
Grahame Steed believes that Scottish procurement professionals should be recognised for the demanding work that they carry out so successfully, and the GO Awards Scotland provide an excellent means of doing just that.
